education

Oklahoma Mediator Certification - Tulsa, OK 10/2000
This certification is an educational requirement for appointment by state and federal court judges as a mediator in Oklahoma. Training includes forty hours in the classroom and three supervised and independent mediations. This certification is a very recent requirement in Oklahoma, which accounts for my seeking certification in Florida first.

Florida Mediator Certification - Tampa, FL 6/1996
Certified as a mediator under Florida’s certification requirements. Training included forty hours of classroom training followed by two supervised mediations and two independent mediations. These mediations were performed in Tampa and Fort Myers Florida. This certification was not a requirement in Oklahoma until 1999, which accounts for my seeking this certification in Florida first.

Florida Bar Association - Tallahassee, FL 9/1991
Admitted to the Bar in the State of Florida after sitting for the Bar Exam. Florida does not offer reciprocity to any other states; thus all candidates must sit for the bar exam.

University of Tulsa - Tulsa, OK 12/1984
Attained JD and admission to the Oklahoma Bar.

University of South Florida - Tampa, FL 4/1982
Attained BA degree in Finance.
